First of all, this is explained in much better detail in the manual, might want to check that.
Editing midi data: see that button that says "EDIT" on the main screen? That's a good place to start. Here you can adjust things like note length, velocity, transposition (midi track only), and copy/pasting of events.
Editing timing data: hit the "OPEN WINDOW" button while highlighting the timing field on the main screen...it should say OFF or 1/8 or 1/16 or something like that. Here, you can quantise the whole track to whatever value you select ...1/8 - 1/32. Hit "DO IT" to quantise all notes to that value.
You can also do things like shift all notes sooner or later...by default this works for ALL notes, but you could also just hit a pad while the cursor is in the right place and it will only affect that note.
Take note...the above screen isn't a "process", per se, it's more of a 'filter'. What I mean by this, is if you go into timing edit, and shift notes 4 ticks later, you can't go in and shift another 4 by hitting do it, and end up with notes shifted 8 ticks...it basically just affects the quantisation offset, and so it will only be offset by the amount shown in this window. This is kind of nice because you can shift things, here how it sounds, and continue to try different shift amounts 'non-desctructively'.
It is important to note though, that this entire timing screen is based on the quantisation first, which is a destructive process.
Finally, you can 'shift' notes yourself manually, either by doing clever copy/replacing in the edit menu, or by copying/pasting individual steps in the step sequencer.
