2000xl not starting up. HELP!!!

Im f**kin freakin out yall.
my 2kxl was working fine with the zip drive i installed.

i tried to upgrade it with a addonics card reader

as soon as i plugged in the 4 GB cf card...the mp stopped working and went blank.

i turned it off and it kept going blank, its not the ide cable, because it does it either way.

I hope all i have to do is reboot the bastard, otherwise im screwed.

If you have any information about this at all let me know, i would like to get back to work if you smell what im saying.

did you disconnected card reader while mpc was turned on? man, don't do it again. you can **** it up permanently.

have you installed the latest OS to your mp? if you didn't - here where's the problem at. either, I'm not sure if xl can work with 4GB cards. maybe I'm wrong, but I think 2GB is the limit. check it then. If you have the newest OS installed and you'll make sure, that the 4 GB cards are ok for XL, try to do things below (turn off the mpc and make sure it's not plugged to an electricity):

if the reader is already disconnected, try to turn on mpc. it shouldn't be blank in this case. if everything seems to be ok, try to connect your old drive (zip, floppy, whatever). if it still works and you have 8-outs expansion board, disconnect it from motherboard and try the reader out one more time. if mp will boot, then you got the solution. unfortunately, there's 2 ways - ask customer to give you another reader, or get rid of outs.

if my advices are stack of bullshit, sorry then. I ain't had issues like yours so far, I just helped my friend to solve quite simillar problem.

if your greybox'll start working after operations above, let me know in this topic.
