mpc 2000 saving problems

hi i already have an 1000 but i got a 2000 to today and im having problems saving this program i made and i realised that the only sample it wouldnt copy was one that was bigger than the entire memory on the floppy disk and i thought maybe this is why? but i have used samplers before where you can save one sample over 2 or more floppys.... please help!!!

no you can not split 1 file across 2 floppies. I suggest recording in mono rather then in stereo. And also.. what you can do is save a program filled with sounds across several floppies. Basically when saving it says disk full, so you pop in the next one and click save on the window.

You have four options:
1.Sample at 78 RPM and in mono and sample small bits to make your beats fit on one floppy.
2.Get a 100 MB SCSI zip drive and a disk. You will also need a Male to Male DB25 SCSI cable and make sure your drive has two termination switches on the back. Check thrift stores.
3.Install a card reader.
4.Don't save. Turn your MPC on, sample, make the beat, do a rough mix using track velocity and bounce that to a cassette tape or other recording medium (computer HD). Turn off the MPC and lose the individual sounds and sequences of the beat forever.
