BOOT UP DISK WIPED IT SELF PLEASE HELP URGENT!

im using an mpc 2000 and for no reason the boot disk just wiped it self so now i cant use my mpc is there a way i can download the program again if so where? and can anyone think what might of caused this to happen? and also if im using a different os will my pad banks still be the same or will i have to re write them? thanks a lot

wondering if the zip disk has gone bad. but go to http://www.mpcstoragesolution.com/operating_systems__manuals to download 1.72 os to your pc and copy os to zip disk. hope this helps.
