MPC 2000 disk error?

I purchased this MPC 2000 at Guitar center about 4months ago and just had to format a Floppy disk to get it up and running. This past couple weeks it has been showing a disk error screen again but every other day? And it has gotten to the point were it only shows that screen now and i cant use it...... Anyone know the diagnoses to my problem before i send it in to get fixed?

Did you tried different known working floppies in the drive? btw do you have some new (never used opened floppies?) then try those and if you still getting the error maybe you need to replace your floppy drive.

I have new floppys and i just formatted one. It worked for a couple months?

You just formatted one and the one that you just formatted is working? when you say just means right now (today) or a couple months ago?... floppies tend to die if you don't know how to work with them... they are very fragile and sensitive to heat, humidity, static exposure, etc...

It stop working lastweek. Should i format another one and try it?

Of course... you need to try with different floppies to see if it's a floppy or drive problem
