well not directly from the mpc really... you can mess with fx but there is no real LFO or flange.

What you can do is run it out an individual output if you have that and use an external filter or flanger of some sort.

yeah but that's attack and decay if I'm getting what you are referring to... not an lfo or a phaser if that is what I understand that you are after...

try setting the slider to freq and manipulating the sample by moving the slider up and down.

start the slider from the down position and move it up then down for a wahish sound.

up down, up down, up down
wah, wah, wah

or get eb16 boards, or external effects

ok, the closest i can get to that effect on the 2000.

on a 2 sec sample in program: attack 49, decay 41, filter freq 38, overlap MONO. assign Velocity on the 16 levels. (all just examples,

he sort of implies that he can control the filter by how hard he hits the pad, and as far as i'm aware, it's not possible to program the 2000 to do that. maybe he is using a different mpc.

he only plays the sample for 1 or 2 beats in the bar so it is possible that a large attack and decay value will create the wah-wah-wah-wah effect, shaping the sample like an oscillator would.

You could try setting the filter to full resonance then assigning the note slider to the filter cutoff and moving it up and down in time to kind of replicate it. Some samples will work better with this, high pitched or ones with loads of high frequencies in them. failing that run the mpc through a wah wah pedal.

try this, as explained in the breakdown of de la soul's special prouced by kev brown...
take a sample a oneshot guitar or any note or even a chord thats strummed or rolled and go into the parameters window to the velocity filter turn the FREQ down to 30 or lower turn the res up around ten press open window and turn the AMOUNT and DECAY to 100 and play the sample repeatedly as you adjust the attack to set the wah effect how you want it works best with shorter sampler and on longer samples it sounds more like a filter sweep...

the lower the FREQ the more sweep you get and the higher the RES the more wah
