Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

External Zip Drive

I have just purchased ext. zip drive for MPC 2000. I try to play saved songs on zip disk, but the song is being interupted with sounds of other songs on the saved disk. How do I prevent this from happening?

name all your sounds differently.

What I do is partition the zip.(just like you do a hard-drive)You more or less disect the disk into however many parts you want.4-25,2-50,10-10 etc.it's up to you.Peace

i make folders but i dont think u can do this on the original 2k..

nah, no folders on the old 2k. Been on her for years, no folders. Very unorganized but I like it, that's how I work. Always name your samples with a name you'll remember, so you don't get them mixed up. Are you saving the PROGRAM WITH SOUNDS?
