Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Yo guys, sorry if this has been addressed already, i had a bit of a search and didn't turn up much.

I have a CF reader from mpc stuff installed and I'm having issues when I try to save into folders. My cards are formatted on the mp and i create a folders fine but i get various error msgs if i try to save sounds/sequences/programs/anything into the folders. Generally I can save into the root folder without any issue but it's really annoying having to rearrange all my files on the mac at the end of each evening to keep the clutter down.

I've tried multiple cards and checked all the internal connections and they seem snug. Any ideas?

Thanks

If you are using a card greater than 2GB you run into error messages, also the first card reader from mpcstuff were not hot swapable, meaning if you take out the card while the MP is on you run into problems, give them a call you might need a special compact flash for your model..

I just got on top of the issue i was having. What I was doing was formatting my card in the MP, powering off and plugging the card into my mac to dump my folder of sounds, then popping back into the MP to power on. Everything would work until I got to saving the PGM files of my finished beat, where it would throw all sorts of errors.
To fix it I load my samples folder up on the MP, assign the sounds to my pads then format the card before continuing. So far I've been having no more problems.
Seems like a bit of a pain in the ass, is this the usual order of operations? Its weird because I didn't have to do this until now.
