When you do a recording how do you make it so the sample only play once
instead off that echo effect off all the samples playing?

It's not called one shot on the 2000, it's mono.

Go to PROGRAM MODE(shift + program), select DRUM1 and you should get to the assign screen. This is where you can assign sounds to pads and ish.. Now press F2 to go to the PARAMS screen and hit the pad that you want to edit, then move your cursor to the bottom right corner where it should say POLY. Now turn the wheel to choose between POLY, MONO or NOTE OFF.
-POLY = the sample will play everytime you hit the pad
-MONO = the sample will start from the beginning everytime you hit the pad
-NOTE OFF = the sample will play only for the duration that you hold the pad down

Remember that if you have set the sample to loop it will automatically be set to note off.
