Eb16?

I do alot of sampling and wanted to know if anyone using the eb16 thinks it is really worth the money.I would appreciate some advice before i decide to cop one.....Thanx and Peace

Yeah, I had the EB16 chip in my 2000 before I got the XL.
When I just had the MPC and an 8 channel board, I used it alot.
You get all the basic stuff you need, and having the chip was a good way to
get deeper into applying efx without getting overwhelmed.
I think it's OK if you are new to this, and do not have much mixing
capability. If you are creative and subtle with it, you could enhance your
tracks if have to mix virtual inside the MPC. Or, you are a DJ or someone who gigs on the road with the MPC.

I will say, it sounds like total aaaaaasss! 16bit efx? Terrible.
You can really hear the reverb tail, the delay won't go longer than 356ms.

i think people are back and forth wit it. i think it depends on how you use it. im sure it could be an effective tool

I bought the eb16 before I got the eight outs...... at the time that was a bad choice for me. I don't use it serously, just fool around with it. I like the distortion and eko effects but for the price I would save my money and buy some out board gear ( compressor, fxbox or filter box). I think I got cought up in the hype of haveing a tuly maxed out MPC
