Ive been sampling from my home stereo using RCA to 1/4" jacks. I have noticed a little extra fuzz in the background and was wondering if it might be caused by the RCA jacks. Im not all that worried about it but if it is something that I can correct then all the better!

there are many reasons for line noise you are experiencing. What you are recording might actually just be noisy, the home stereo might not giving you a great sound. There is also Radio Frequency interference, earth loop noise, johnstons noise....... ect ect
So many options to consider. First move the cables you are using..... if this changes the noise then that is RF noise or EM noise. Get better shielded cables. If no difference it will be earth loop or just noise stereo. if it is the radio then this is also why
