Quantizing and your Swing

I have noticed that it is hard to have my beatz quantized just the way I want it. It either pushes the note too far ahead or back.... How do I reset the Swing back to the default setting in the mpc2000xl. I know something has changed because everytime i turn on my machine the tempo is set to 89 as apposed to 120. I would like to set everything back to the default setting.

i am guessing it is automatically loading the parameters from the card or something...

I never had that problem before.. however swing at default is at 50, and change the timing to the right number like 16th

Thanks for replying to my issue.. I dont think is loading from a card. ill ck on the swing and see if it puts the note where they are supposed to go.

I suppose you saved a sequence or song on f-rom at your mpc and it's just automatically loading at startup. if so, there's should be some tracks also, check if it's true. even if not, just set your tempo to a wanted value, reset swing settings (1/16 with 50% swing I guess), also remember about setting size of sequence to 2 bars. when you will do all of this things, press shift+enter and change device you want to save this seq at to "FROM" (ferroelectric rom). i'm pretty sure this would help.

you also can prepare some program with your customized startup settings, for example all pads you don't use for drums set to note-off and stuff like that.
