You Guys Think I Did This MPC Justice???

I have bin wanting to customize my 2000xl studio ed. for a while and jus now got around to it just finished up paining the buttons last week, got the black pads in the mail and i just got the chrome volume,chrome rec knob and chrome data wheel back from this guy in france ..also painted the front black and installed a cf card reader ...Iv'e always went on this site for info and never posted anything so i figured what better time than now that i jus finished my baby let me get some feed back people!!!

it's clean looking. i don't really consider a mpc customized until you do something to the faceplate. i hate that particular data wheel too, they don't fit very well in my experience, and spin quite oddly. the problem with painting your own faceplate is getting the labels back on, i know you can order a sticker kit but it's $100 and you have this big shinny sticker on top of your nice new paint job. Anyone know how to recreate the labels? I thought of having stamps made up and using paint, but i don't know how straight it would look being applied by hand.

i have a template for the lettering i downloaded it from here a while back just take it to a screen printing shop and they should be able to print it out and stick it on for you or you can just do it yourself... let me get your email and ill send it to you ...planed on painting mine and all but to be honest i think it might be a bit much kind of like the way it is right now ....the data fit like a glove on mine it has a nice feel to it as well (chopin samples never felt so BOSS) it has a real heavy feel to it ....thanks for the feed back my dude

Personally though, I'd remove the "studio plus" sticker, to make it look even cleaner.

@nojokes i used krylon fusion black satin i put 3 coats 1 every hour since this stuff dries in 15 mins its bin pretty good so far it takes a week for it to be crack resistant i couldent wait so i started useing it the day after and i do see little chips on the bottom corner of the buttons might have been from putting the case back on tho no fully sure ether way the paint looks great and nothing is coming off on my fingers after makin a beat the day after i painted them ./...hope this answers your question

Very nice work, although if I'm being picky I really don't like chrome... matches the weights though! But with the rest of it being a matte finish those bad boys look a little out of place.

Altogether, excellent though. If anything leave the sticker on, it's the only thing that links the chrome to the MPC.

@scooby i was thinking about the Anodised aluminum jog wheel and volume knobs it's a black chrome ... chrome itself does look a little off on this one

I know the one sir! It's just my own personal preference and it's more the fact that it's chrome as opposed to the colour.

Nicely polished metal is all good. Quick question though, it was mentioned above that the fit of those knobs and jog wheels isn't very good, is that true?
