Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

My MPC2kXL came with an internal zip drive. I want to replace the internal zip drive with a floppy drive...

Are there any issues that I should be aware of when doing this.

Such as, will a standard pc floppy drive work with the 2kxl, or is there a specific type of drive the the 2kxl needs??

Will I need a particular type of cable(s), or is the the floppy cable still there??

Peace

im sorry but why would u want to do this? I think this would be a step backwards. If its a pc related issue like not being able to transfer, i would jus t buy a parllel zip drive. for the pc

For one, I already have a scsi zip drive connected to my MPC.
Two, I have other producers that have MPC beats on floppy.
Three, I sometimes get DISK READ ERRORs with floppy transferred to zip

the list goes on.

a floppy would solve the problem

thanks

Any PC type 3 1/2 inch floppy drive should work. I think you will need a different ribbon cable but they usually come with the floppy drive.
