1. Here's what I have: 1) MPC2000xl with an SCSI external zip drive device. 2) Ensoniq ASR10 with SCSI port. 3) M-Audio FireWire Solo recording interface. 4) MacBook Pro with Logic Pro Version 9.1.5
2. Here's what I am trying to do: Use the ASR10 for sampling, and then connect the ASR10 to the MPC2000xl for sequencing.
3. My Questions:
1) Step by step, how do I connect the ASR10 to the MPC2000xl so I that can chop samples on the ASR10 and then record/sequence into the MPC2000xl?
- I know that I can load the samples onto the ASR10 via an SCSI external zip drive device, but where I am having trouble is:
After loading from my external zip drive device onto the ASR10, from there how do i to connect the ASR to the MPC? In other words, after I load the samples onto the ASR, how do I then sequence those samples into the MPC?
2) When just using the MPC2000xl, I will record my sequences or individuals tracks into Logic Pro via analog. My question is, what is the best way to record my sequences into Logic Pro after connecting the ASR10 to the MPC2000xl? Can I still record via Analog?
