Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I literally just got back from purchasing a 2000 unit for $200 from a guy on craigslist, everything seems to be working perfectly, but I'll have to upgrade the memory and get the 8 outs.

what else can we say, lampdog... right?

but just to add to the topic... i had the 2000 for about a week last year... picked it up for $200, sold it for $300 and then found a 2000xl with the 8 outs for $400, which i've kept in my arsenal...

if i saw another one for $200 i'd definitely pick it up though...

Thought about selling the 2000, but other than making music with MPC's I also like to collect them....but I may have to make an exception for the 2000XL HAHA

you'll find one soon enough... especially now with people acting like fools anticipating the release of the new software mpcs and selling off their older hardware ones.

just make sure to check the auctions on ebay more than the buy-it-nows... :D

but also check buy it nows.. because once in a blue moon you see something good.. I got my 2000 with eb16, 8 outs, smpte card, 32 megs, with a mint screen for 230 including shipping international (it was from the usa). dude thought it was broken because he didn't know what "insert disk" meant when powering it on so I took a gamble expecting to need to do piles of work on it... I was almost disappointed when it was in mint brand new condition. I took the gamble because I saw it had the 8 outs.. so the loss wouldn't have been as bad... at least I knew I would be getting something... I was just shocked to power it on with a boot floppy.. and discovered I wouldn't need to open it up and install my spare eb16.. it already had that too. sweet.
