purchase help - 200xl plus extras

I finally got about 2 g's to spend on this and I'm wondering what extras I need.

I'm trying to make beats on the mpc, export them to the computer and I guess eq and effects in cool edit. how would I export the tracks into my laptop? I don't want to use floppies, I would rather use cd roms or something else. Also, is it better to chop samples in cool edit and then burn them to a cd an import them to mpc?

You may want to use 2 different zip drives.250 or 100 megs,depending on how much you plan on storing.I think laptops support zips.And as far as importing to the mpc if you can,hook the out of the laptop to your mpc and record straight back in and save those cds for finished projects..Peace
