OS to Floppy disc

hi! I've problem with my mpc 2000xl. I tried to upgrade my os. I download a OS and i put on floppy and then put floppy to my mpc.on the screen where is type of disc i've got Questionmarks ??? and there is no files to serch. in manuals there is a two files formats .SYS & .EXE I've got a .BIN format, it matter?/ maybe my floppyes are wrong.

R U sure you have the 2K XL? I saw a lot of people saying they have the XL just to realize when they find an issue that they always had the 2000 classic...
.SYS and .EXE are the files the MPC2000 classic use, the .BIN it is the update file for the 2000XL... that's why I am asking you if you are sure you have the XL.

I'm 100% sure I'm owner a xl. download that os 3 or more times. there is other way to copy OS on floppy disc than copy and paste ??
maybe somebody wanna picture of that problem ?

Did you tried to format the floppy in your MPC first before copying the file on the PC?
are you having issues loading any other kind of files like sounds or programs in to your MPC? maybe your drive it is defective????
