I'd like to know if there is interest in creating a hopefully sticky topic where we can share programs.
Taking inspiration from the cromatic pgm topic.
For example, I created a program with some roland TR drum machines sounds.
With the exception of two 808 kicks and 3 808 toms, all other samples are from non-editable TR machines, 505, 606, 707 and 727. No 909 since I have a real one and no 808 cause I sometimes have access to a real one. But this could be a starting point to create your pgms.
I know that program content is strongly influenced by the musical style. Since I do mostly techno, I don't need a lot of acoustic snare like maybe some hip hop artist, and maybe I'll have more synthesized drum sounds and abstract stuff but I feel sharing programs could be a nice idea.
Copyright: the pgm I did is made with sound I sampled from the machines before I sold them, so I guess there is no copyright infringment. Other than that, there are tons of roland TR sample set available for free in the i'net.
Of course, in case this pgm repository will become a reality, some copyright policy should be applied, I don't know if resposibility can be solely by the uploader or if the site ownwer also has some responsibility for the content on this site (my guess it that he does).
