Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By imakebeats1999 Thu Mar 22, 2012 4:24 pm
Man...2 days ago I ordered the "StarTech.com 3.5-Inch Drive Bay IDE to Single CF SSD Adapter Card Reader (35BAYCF2IDE)" off of Amazon.com for my 2000XL
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss? ... YCF2IDE%29
I went to check the shipping status today and it says "Shipping Soon" and the estimated delivery date is on Monday the 26 of March....smh....I'm thinking I'd have it by Friday or Saturday. Read a few forums on the site and it turns out that everyone complains about them shipping out an item(s) 2 days after the order, why wouldn't you be notified before purchasing? That's some BS! I won't be ordering from them again.....smh

Yea they def know what they're doing, they want you to pay extra to get it delivered faster...smh
locotesmjr wrote:Commonly they ship between 1-3 business days, if you pick FREE super saver shipping option could take up to a week, I can clearly read there get it by Friday if you choose one day shipping... which of course it is going to cost extra $$

Always check to see if they are shipping it or some other business.
Amazon use to warehouse what they sold but now most of it is outsourced.

***EDIT***
I looked and it says that Amazon is the seller so that makes it messed up to have the delay.

you have to do research on anything and everything before purchasing.
Also make note of that free super saving mentioned, it's a further out date for delivery.

True, never had that problem with any other site so I just assumed...I know now

I hate postage times I'd rather just go to a shop and buy it. I'm probably the most inpatient person on this whole forum. I'd probably spend double the price to get something the day before. -sigh-

My boys and I call that the "buy it now" price.
I'm patient when online buying because I already understand that not everyone
will move at the speed of light like I might.

Your at the mercy of others, no matter how you want to look at it, you are.

Be honest with yourself when purchasing, do you really need it that fast, then go somewhere and get it with the "buy it now price".

I'm gonna start selling shit online and sending it out same day via Kevin Costner.

The real problem now is that you rarely get a price that offsets the sh*tty service.

Some online services are incredible while others are a total nightmare.
Then again in many cases you are dealing with someone supplying goods not a true business.

here's the scoop...tried adding the 1.20 os to a floppy from my external floppy drive...it said that I needed to format the disc so I did so but this came up "windows was not able to complete the format" tried different disc as well as a different computer + a laptop and still wasn't sucessful. Then I tried formatting the floppy in the mpc and it formatted it...so i thought smh...I tried adding the 1.20 os again and it said that I needed to format the floppy...WTF! I can install the card reader until I update the OS...I'm stuck!
