mpc 2000 to laptop

im trying to figure out how to sync my beats from my mpc 2000 to my laptop...can someone tell me what all i will need to make this happen?

You need a MIDI interface, a MIDI cable from MIDI Out of computer to MIDI In of MPC (or the contrary if you want the MPC to be the master), set MPC as MTC/MMC slave, tell your DAW or whatever soft you use to send MTC/MMC messages and voilà!

There's this method I used to use back in the day when I was in a gang... I got a regular network cable and painted it black so it conducted more MIDI then I attached a plastic cup to it so it would be able to sit ontop of my computer (cause the top of your computer is what receives MIDI) and on the other end I got my girl to hold it underneath My MPC and i was able to record all my audio/ control midi/ synch my MPC to Cool Edit Pro Demo.
