MPC/Logic sync weirdness

I have my MPC synced to Logic. It works great when I'm using a non-song mode created sequence. The only problem is that if I create a new sequence using song mode (chaining 2 or more sequences together) the sync is all over the place. Instead of starting from Bar 1 on the MPC when I run Logic, it'll start playing from Bar 7, for example. I'm stumped! Any help appreciated!
