I've had my MPC for about 2 wonderful months now. I've had no real problems apart from some inconsistent freezing that seems to occur whenever I hastily go from STOP>UNDO SEQ>REC+PLAY START (I figured it was probably too fast for the MPC to handle, leading to a freeze). I'm not sure if it's even "frozen", I just get an inescapable screen with info like this:
AX:#### (real numbers, not just # signs)
BX:####
CX:####
Today, I rebooted it after it froze up. When I tried loading my program up again, it was taking WWWWAAAAYYYY longer to load up. Seriously about 5 minutes went by and it had only reached the 11th out of 20 sounds. These sounds aren't heavy either, all are mono and don't go beyond 5 seconds max. Finally, it read "disk read error" in the middle of loading. It allowed me to go back to the loading screen but froze up statically (not the AX stuff, just wasn't able to move or do anything).
I'm using an Iomega 100mb Zip reader. My SCSI cable has an adapter on it to connect into the MPC. It was on Termination 0, SCSI-ID #5. I tried switching it to #6 but the same problem persisted.
What's going on??!?!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
