man seems like deja vu since I been here and actually I think that was my last post a few years ago lol! Glad to see headz are still killing it on here and keeping it going that's bless ya know. Anyway I'm here again because I'm trying to find a workaround to the issue I'm having here....
Now I'll try to be brief and not drag it out so let's go:
So last time I was here it was trying to figure out how to track MPC joints using Reason as a sound module in Reason (this was version 3). A member here Mike Dugan hooked me up lovely with the steps to make it happen and everything was a dream until....I copped Reason 5. Now the problem I'm having is trying to do the same thing in Reason 5. Now my dumb *** done went and made a ton of beats thinking when it's time to get them tracked out it would be the same simple process I learned...WRONG!!! Now Reason has me ticked because in ver. 3 all you had do was either import your midi file and select your instrument or sync the MP to it and bam got your track. In ver. 5 not only can I not sync (if I'm wrong, school me please) but when I import midi I get a bunch of damn combinators (WTF). I tried checking youtube, google, even my trusty mp forum to no avail (maybe I'm missing something) and it would seem importing midi would be the way to go but them damn combinators throwing me off. Now I tried linking each of my instruments to a combinator by copy and paste because I separate each track (i.e. kick on tr 1, snare on tr 2 etc.) and this works somewhat until I get to some of the stronger tracks and it crushes my processor I get an error saying cpu too slow to play song. Anyway I said I wouldn't be long winded but I'm doing it anyway, if anyone has any info on a method to this madness all help would be appreciated. Now I'm feeling stupid for being greedy trying to cop the latest gear and can't get the thing to work (propellerhead should have never F'd with this to begin with) and probably wasted money and time on tracks I may not be able to track out. But everybody keep banging the boards and make it funky. One
