Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Based off of my other post that my faceplate may be slightly bent, I installed new black pads from mpcstuff and noticed they slide around a bit under the faceplate. I have the holes aligned up but not sure if this is a common problem or if I can double stick tape it (not on the sensors obviously).

Yeah I thought was odd also. Nah old pads didn't move around. The movement is very minimal but still seems like it shouldn't do that. The black pads almost have an oily slick feel to them.

I have 2 XL's here and I know the slide you mean, although mine was always slight. On the one unit I purposely bent the case ever so slightly. I wrapped the case in a towel and used pliers, the bend I did was actually on the back part of the casing behind the LCD. After some light test bends that seemed like the spot which would flatten the top of the case best. If you look closely behind the LCD you can visibly see the line of the metal isn't true anymore, but it's very slight.

Even before I bent the case it wasn't a big deal, but the pads weren't as snug as my 2500 or 4000.
