Bif of an odd one:
Just been making an 808 kit on my PC - dithering down a 24bit kit to 16bit/44.1 for loading to MPC.
Then have individually loaded the dithered samples into my 2000xl - one by one, assigning each sound to an individual pad. Has all worked fine, EXCEPT 3 of the sounds, which have mysteriously turned phantom. So all the other sounds are there , playing when I hit their pad, but 3 aren't. In the program page the pads in question show the missing sound is in fact assigned, and more strangely, in the trim window the phantom sounds are present , waveform viewable, but won't play using either the f-key or the pad.
So in summary - the sounds appear assigned correctly, are viewable in trim window, but make no sound at all.
Any ideas? This has happened before when I've loaded a kit - just the odd sound goes phantom. All the sounds are named correctly , numbers and letters only, with less than 8 characters. And, I've double checked in the PC that they were correctly dithered down to 44.1/16bit...
Thanks for any help
