Organizing my Beats and Sounds (2000XL)

I save all of my work on an external zip 100. I know u can create folders on the disk my question is......how can I seperate my sounds from my beats. I hate scrolling through all my sounds to find the beat I want to load up. I would like to be able to save my beats to a folder named BEATS and sounds in the SOUNDS or ROOT would work as long as i can seperate them. I've saved "all sequences & songs" to the BEATS folder but that doesnt load up the sounds so when I try to save "all programs & sounds" the sounds save in the BEATS folder with the beat. If its not possible to seperate them then I will just deal with it but if its possible holla at me!

I've got the 2000 which doesn't make folders like the xl does. I usually partition zips so in one section I've just got all my basic sounds like kicks & hi-hats. In another partition I might keep all the data (sample & midi) for songs I'm currently working on, in another just rough ideas like a hi hat pattern or a bassline that are not yet part of a song.

I'm thinking instead of just having a folder for BEATS & one for SOUNDS you should make folders for each specific project & save both the program & sample data & the song & sequence data in those.

I hate scrolling through all my sounds to find the beat I want to load up.

Don't forget when loading you can switch so you just scroll through a specific type of data.......So if you've got 147 samples on your zip but just 11 programs, 7 songs & 9 sequences which are not yet in songs you can set it to just scroll through the 7 songs without going through everything else.
