Stryke I don't think you understood the question.. Or then I didn't understand it :D

g
yes, you can have a loop that will loop automatically for as long as you hold the pad!

Go to the TRIM window, press F2 (LOOP) , move your cursor to the right of the screen and turn the LOOP:no to LOOP:yes. Now the sound is a loop.

The TRIM window will let you set the starting point of the sound, and the LOOP window will let you set the looping point. You can set the ending point (the point where it loops back) on either one of the windows.

Hope this helped!

g_nicks: I am only able to loop a sample py pressing the pad each time it finished .

I notice from this & some other postings of yours that they seem to be about playing live from the MPC's pads.

I'd say the easiest way to loop a sample is to use the sequencer to keep re-triggering it, but are you in a situation where you don't want to be using the sequencer?

What Cheech described is the technically accurate definition of looping a sample. However most of the time you hear people talk about looping a sample they actually mean re-triggering it with the sequencer.

triggering = triggering the sound = hitting the pad that the sound is on

Yes, rather than you keep hitting the pad to play/trigger the sample again & again you use the sequencer to keep playing it.
