SP 303??

What up...a friend of mine is selling his BOSS SP303 for $150...My question is is it worth copping it..? I already got a MPC2000XL and a Triton Key Board...Do i really need the SP303?? or would it be useless...

Some people might say the SP303 is like a cheap copy of an MPC, almost a toy, but it does have some really good, grungey, lo-fi effects......& I think it has a built in microphone that is meant to be really good, again if you want a nice, grimey sound.

If you want some extra dirt in your samples, get it. You could do some interesting stuff bouncing samples between the two machines.

If you just want more sampling power you might be better off maxing your MPC's RAM & getting the 8 outs board if you don't have that.

Yeah its in good condition...but could someone give me some examples of how i can use it with my mpc 2000XL? I already have 32MB and 8 outs so my MPC is maxed out...But im deff a fan of that GRIMEY dirty sound...Is the SP303 good for that??? How would i use it with the MPC to add that grimey effect 2 my beats???

lo fi sampling, I would probably pass if I was in your situation...you don't "need" it

save yours coins for some real hardware.

You certainyl don't "need" it... But it still a nice piece of hardware to add to your set-up... Lo-Fi processing effect... As well as a lot of other top quality effects (certainly for the money)... There's other things you should get before it, but if you got the extra dough I'd say to definitely cop it...

yeah, no doubt, I'm pimping the 505 and love it, I can sample shit so quick, but mine has wave form editing and it's soooo fast and easy with the jog wheel...

but what I"m saying is if you don't need the extra sample time, and you are building a studio it can be better spent like towards monitors, preamps, mics, a sampling keyboard(asr?) or just getting some new clothes and kicks hahaha....SQUALLAY!
