Quick question

Sorry for this "noob" question but I need to be sure of this... Did Akai make the MPC2KXL-ZP only in the blue. Or are there also 2000XL-ZPs that come in that classic beige colour?

haha okay, thanks, man.

I need to know because i'm getting an mpc ordered in for me today and i asked the sales guy if it would be a blue or white model... he said white. So now i just got await and see if it comes with the 100mb zip or if its an older one with a floppy drive.

The australian supplier is AustralisMusic, I was tolled by two different dudes at seperate times that they have the white models in stock. I asked one of them how long they had the stock and he said 4 months... How long ago did Akai Pro stop making them?

its all hype, technics/panasonic did the same thing in94 when turntable sales boosted ( they claimed they were discontinuing the 1200mk2-but they were making plans for mk3...........its an assumption that when something new is out-its at the expense of something older. )-I creates consumer panic and makes everyone go buy now-its just hype. MPCs are going no where. As long as you can find gear like, moogs, juno106s, opus 3's ......as long as you can find vintage gear -mpc's of all makes will be available.



Can anyone say the illest drum machine on the planet with the most foundation and a company like AKAI who's ego has never gotten out of hand............until the mpc1k that is.

Can anyone say cash crop?
