Drive Not Ready Message?

I got an MPC2kxl over the internet. Everything is working properly on the MPC except for the zip drive. The MPC does not recognize the drive. When I press load, it says (drive not ready). What can I do to get this thing up and running? I got music to make.

put a zip disk in it and then press load........

just turn the jog dial again. The mpc is not a prompt machine like a mac or pc, you have to work it. And thats a common message. It just means you beat the machine to the disk........next time wait till the zip clicks, then access it.

close window, and then go back to the load screen. this happens a lot.

just turn the jog dial once more-theres no need to leave that window.



trust me, I'm faster than my machine, -but that one thing, is the only thing ive ever had to wait for as far as that machine is concerned.
