Blue cased Mpc2000xl

I am looking at buying a mpc2000xl blue case, and was wondering what are the main differences between the old style and the new style. Please advise me on this. thanks in advance.

Well i have the blue model...and if in diffrences you mean feature wise...then there is no difference...except that the blue ones come with the 100 mb internal zip...other than that they are the same in every way...if you meant different looks wise...then just take everything beige and make it blue..Lol

Thanks for clearing that up. I have the mpc1000 and I'm thinking of upgrading to the 2000xl. Do you think its that big of a upgrade? How beneficial are the different features between the 1000 and 2000? thanks again

Well with the 2KXL you can do everything right on the machine... That's why I bought it over the 1K back in January... Timestretching, Zoning... I mean the 1K has the USB connection to avoid all that, but that's exactly what I dislike about it... I like hardware...

ALso the 1K is having bugs right now, which is almost always true of new products... I say get the 2KXL...

I did the same exact thing. I was trying to decide between the 1000 and the 2XL, but got the impression that the 1000s potential would only be fully realized with a PC or laptop working with it, which I don't have now. The 2XL is my upgrade from an EPS-16+, and I really underestimated the XL with all this talk about it can't do this and can't do that and it's only a drum machine...man, I'm making complete tracks on this thing alone, with no effects, lol, and if I want my keys back, all I gotta do it spend between $80 to $100 for a midi kybd and use Auto Chromatic. The memory is almost a luxury to me compared to the "sonic economics" I was raised on with the EPS.

Yea I could see that... Memory hasn't even been an issue (except for those first two months with the stock 2 Megs)... I think I maxed my memory once when I loaded like 12 beats in there...

As far as makin a whole track on there... Hells yeah... I understand that the 4000 is more fully independent drum machine, but I couldn't see needing it... I go right from my MPC to Adobe Audition and mis my sh*t down... No problems...

Exactly, you just have exactly what you need, not every single shiny thing you just want, lol...the 4000 is looking more and more like the next logical step as I watch it grow in this marketplace. But, it looks like I could literally live with the MPC for a decade plus. There's not much more I actually--in my heart---NEED beyond a computer with some nice recording software. Well...maybe that EB16, but not for $330!!!
