record midi and sound

hallo can the 2K record midi and sound from i micro korg ?

or must i sample the sound and play it with the midi keyboard ?

it cannot record audio in realtime, you have to sample it, then sequence those samples.

it can record midi in realtime which its very good at.

Yes.

Or use MIDI to trigger the MicroKorg sounds (one timbre/midi channel only) from the MPC pads/sequencer.

All depends on what you're trying to do and what other gear you have available.

Midi out from MicroKorg to Midi in of the MPC, Midi out from the MPC to Midi in of the MicroKorg (if you want to use the appregiator in sync with the MPC). Audio out of MPC to Mixer/Interface, Audio out of MicroKorg to Mixer/Interface. Sequence everything with the MPC.
