I know S3000 samples can be read & I'm pretty sure the sampling engine in the MPC is the same as the S2000. You won't do any damage to anything just trying to find out.
Unless you have a SCSI CD ROM player attached to your MPC it isn't going to be a very quick process loading the cd to a computer & then transfering to the MPC. If they don't work you should be able to change the format to wav on your computer & get those to the MPC.
