Assigning Programs to tracks on MPC 2000

Hey whats up people. I am new to the mpc but i sort of got the hang of it. My only problem is when i load up my drums on track one, and then i try and load my sample on track two my drums will disappear. Im not sure what im doing wrong. Can anyone help me out? thanks

the mpc 2000 didnt have multi program playback, meaning it can only play on program at a time, thus your sample needs to be loaded and assigned to the same program the drums are on.
