One option might be to run the VST in a VST-RTAS wrapper, which is an adapter plugin that allows you to run VST plugins within Pro Tools, there is one called VST to RTAS adapter from FXpansion.
Another option might be to run the VST in a separate VST host application, that supports internal transfer of audio into Pro Tools via Rewire, could be something like Cubase as tapedeck mentioned above, others report good results with things like Reaper, VE Pro, Plogue Bidule, and others.
Do a lot of searching and reading about the options first, some report trouble getting the wrapper working in Pro Tools 10, others have no problems, for example.
