Is there a way that I can chop a sample into four parts in edit mode or zone? Im trying to find a quicker way to chop than copying the sound 4 or 5 times then cut each sound to where I want it . I have a 2000

I'm afraid not on the MPC itself, but when you get enough experience with whatever number your machine is you should be able to chop up samples really fast. Editing on a computer is faster, partly just because the screen is bigger, but then you've got the extra time of transfering sounds to the MPC.

I don't know about the 2000, but on the XL you can. Just go to zone mode, then highlight the number of zones, press "open window", and then change the number of zones to 4. Then just chop like you usually would using zones.
