Ram problems!

Hi.
My MPC2000 has 32mb installed, but they seem to have disappeared.. It says I can only sample 10.9 secs in stereo mode.
Is there any way to boot it, open it, get them back....something?

Two sticks of ram or one. If two, open it, take out 1 stick, start your machine and check the sample time available again.
Try that with each stick of ram and you'll find out which one is bad.
Also make sure they are seated properly while dong all this.
Make sure you KEEP TRACK OF WHAT SCREWS GO WHERE.
A misplaced screw can lead to a power short and it wont boot up or it will act funny.

for whatever it's worth... if the contacts on the ram chips are corroded/dirty, you can clean the corrosion off with a pencil eraser.
