2k classic:EB16 glitches Samples after recording Samples int

Hey Guys,

I've run into a problem with my 2k classic. Got it equipped with F-ROM, 8-Outs and EB16.
So here's whats happening:
I already made a beat and wanted to sample some horns from a record. So I hit shift+4 to get so the sample recording window. I recorded the sample, everythin was fine. But the next time I hit play, to listen to the beat I already had, everything was glitching, like samples being pitched wildly (like a tape wowing and fluttering) and even really loud crashing noises on all outputs. The only way to fix this was turning off the power and doing all the sampling in Wavelab.
This weekend I really wanted to fix this, because sometimes I accidentally hit shift+4 and my beat was ****. First I thought my ADDA-Board was ****, so I took the whole thing apart and put in a new one. Still the same. Then I checked the rams, the F-ROM, the 8-Outs, problem was still the same. But when I took out the EB16, suddenly everything worked as it should.
Long story short: the EB16 seems to be damaged. Funny thing is, I can use all of the effects and filters and everything is working fine. But when I get to the sampling function everything is effed-up. Anyone ever had this problem? Any advice on how to fix this? Or better: how can I find out which part of the EB16 is broken? I'm more or less tech-savvy and got soldering skills. And I don't want to put the EB16 to waste.
Oh...and yes: I got it on Ebay some years ago! (damn the seller!!!)

I would have pulled the F-ROM out before the EB since it's a lesser known piece.
I would remove everything nonstandard (F-ROM also) from the unit then re-initialize the unit.
After that I would put just the EB in and try sampling making sure that the sample wasn't being routed to he EB when I played it back to see what happens.

The EB shouldn't be affecting the samples if they aren't being routed to it.
