Problem Replacing Mpc 2000 xl Screen With Mpc 2000 ScreenI

I'm trying to replace my screen from my mpc2000xl with the screen from my mpc 2000. There's a problem. It seems that the ribbon and the white chord are not long enough to fit into the mother board of the mpc 2000xl. Can anyone help me on this subject or have a link to a video anything will help me out at this point as i've been searching for a while now.

I would guess a 2k Classic LCD into an XL probably doesn't need the inversion discussed in the DPS LCD thread, but I have no idea, just guessing.

Maybe you can find a longer cord from an XL that had a dead LCD as mentioned in the thread. The poster who confirmed the ribbon cables being the same is a well regarded repairer/modder of music gear.
