need help with mcd drive cables!

so i posted before about my floppy not working. i wasnt able to get it working so i am going tog get my money back and just go for a card reader. i have a ribbon from a zip drive for the card reader. now what power source do i need? i am seeing the power port on the card readers people use and getting confused. do i need the mini to mini molex thats used for a floppy drive in the mpc? or does the one for the zip drive work?

im planning to get a ATAPI 741 as its hot swappable.

Lmao. Funny haha. Well I didn't purchase the drive yet but it seems like some mcd drives need the floppy power that's used on the mpc and others need the one from the zip. That's the part I'm confused about. I have both but if I send this floppy back for my money I have to send the floppy cable. That's the main reason I'm asking for advice.

The very first page that pops up on a Google search of "ATAPI 741" is the manufacturers page for the card reader.

There is a very clear picture on that page of the connector and it is labeled "4-pin floppy power port."

ok thanks. i had posted this from my phone after looking at the card reader sticky so i didnt think to google it. anywhere i can get one of those cables for cheap? i tried looking them up, but dont know what they are card. i can use the one from my floppy, but then i cant my money back lol.

The connector on the MCD is the same as the floppy lead .. 4-pin , Just use your existing "MPC to floppy" lead .

Mcd because it reads and writes. Mcr sounds like it only reads.
