Problem saving on mpc 2000

Hey!
I just bought an mpc 2000, but when I try to save anything with it crashes.
Just comes up with the "wait" screen and doesn't go away, had to switch it off and lost my sounds

If anyone has any advice or other ways to go about it, it would be really appreciated.

More info - what media are you trying to save to?

i am trying to save to a zip drive.
when im in the disk window and I go to change the media type from floppy to zip, (by turning the wheel) It freezes on the "wait......" screen.

Ok so it's a SCSI problem.
Has the drive been working before?
Is the Zip drive definitely a SCSI model?

Also, are you changing the SCSI ID on the MPC load page to the correct SCSI ID for the Zip drive?

You have to scroll past the unused SCSI IDs until you get to the one that the Zip drive is set to.
