Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Does anyone have the images from the original post? They are all gone.

Small side note, this is the exact reason the original Nintendo Game Boy commonly had vertical lines in the screen. Instead of using solder, they glued the cables and that glue detached over time.

I plan on putting some little thermal pads (they are self adhesive) all over the back of the ribbon cable but would love to know some fan mods I can do.

Hey if it’s REALLY only glue holding the connecting wires to the screen, and those failing cause the issue, simple fix is to go in an preemptively epoxy those leads in place so the original glue can’t fail.

If the screen totally dies you’ll need a new cable too but that might be a risk you’re willing to take.
