A 2000xl with a CF Reader!!!!!!!

Did someone say they heard about an updated mpc 2000 with a CF reader?
I'm very excited about hearing this. Wouldn't that make the 1000 obsolete then? Besides the fact that its smaller and easier on the wallet.

Oh my!!! I'm all gitty like a school girl. Someone please let me know if they heard about this too? I was really stocked on the 1000 since I do alot of CPU based stuff, and wanted to bouce it to hardware for hands on fun, until I heard about the problems and the shady build quality.

the zip drive is the only thing holding me back on the 2000XL....

Why is it holding you back? Is it cuz Zips are only 100 mb. At least I think they are about that?

Can you transfer wav files to the zip disk from your cpu, for use in the 2000xl? And just map them out on the pads of your choice? I should just download a manual, if I can, but can you lay out the same sample across a bunch of the pads and tune each one differently? I read that on the 1000 you can, but I haven't really read much about the 2kxl.
