Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I don't think you'll have the vertical clearance in the 2kxl.

If Digidrive works maybe a ribbon cable could address the clearance.

A decade back would have been the prime time as the atapi's were everywhere
now, you'd be hard pressed to find these and the scramble for adapters and such is
on. Been on for a while though.

Looks like a good option, if it works.

Getting an IDE cable to make it fit, as Lamp says, might not be easy.

$85 though, when a straight ATAPI multicard reader is $50.

Those ATAPI mulitcard readers seems to be scarce. I've been looking for sometime and just ended up ordering a CF to IDE, so I could at least run CF cards. Been on the hunt for awhile though.

But yeah, didn't think about the clearance for the adapter.

$85 seems pretty steep for something as old at this.

CompuApps sells an ATAPI multicard reader, just email them, rather than going on what their webstore says about availability.

I have 9 sitting here in a box.

The USB port on the adapter is interesting though, could possibly use USB sticks directly, instead of memory cards, and if mounted somewhere other than through the floppy drive bay, still use the floppy drive bay for a SCSI card reader (or IDE/ATAPI on a SCSI bridge).

I've emailed them twice now and have gotten no response. Their website looks pretty dated.

Yeah, the USB sticks would be pretty dope. Would make transferring files really easy.
