Anyone have an MPC2000 or MPC2000XL screen with lines, that they have already replaced, are no longer using, so don't need it anymore, that they want to give away?

I'll be honest to you and for anyone who reads this.

If I had a burnt LCD, I would send it to you in a heart beat. I don't loose hope in this someday happening.

What is also great, you've shown a lot of knowledge, as you put it "OCD Researching" but that's where it starts. No wild claims, no "I've got the answer, send me all your money", nothing.

Just on that alone, says hey. Who knows. Everyone has potential.

If I come across one, I'll be sure to let you know. I could see you adding some information to the pool more then anyone else who would get them, put them in a shoebox and never touch em again.

Even just a little bit of research, figuring one little part out, is a step in the right direction.

How much I've seen talk about the 2000/XL LCD's just in the short time I've been here is astonishing. Hopefully them lot when they find a replacement, listen to my post about Arrhenius’ Law of Chemical Activity, then read this.

I am really trying to find someone with a totally unusable screen, who is never going to use it again, and who is willing to donate it to the cause for the greater good of the community, in an attempt to work out a process to repair them.

If I can get it working, I would give it back, but there is no guarantee that it will not be further damaged in the attempts to repair it, and end up totally destroyed, never to work again.

I am not doing this to have screens for myself, just to try and come up with a repair process.

If it can be done, it might be a cheap option for those who do not want to spend the $ for an Envision replacement.

If I have some spare cash in the future, I will drop you a line and make an offer.

Talking about 'if' they ever are available.

Been nearly a year since his last update, so who knows?
