oxidized areas

do you think these oxidized areas bordering the pads represent a serious problem, something that spoil the machine function in the future?

I recently copped a 2000 classic and just this week replaced some switches. upon opening it up i see quite a bit of oxidation underneath the circuit board. some d-bag must've spilled something in there. some of that has already transferred to the underside of the board, but everything is working. what can i use to remove oxidation without harming the unit? i realize this might mean taking the thing further apart than i really want to/am comfortable with.

Are you sure it is rust?

Not just excess flux left on the PCBs after the manufacturing process?

As lamp said, any external rust is just cosmetic, and not a problem if you are not bothered by it.

Would have to see photos of what you are calling oxidisation on the inside, under the PCBs, to form an opinion on whether it is an issue or not.
