Issue with Quantize for my MPC2KXL in ProTools 10

Greetings all,

I searched the forums and couldn't find anything related so here it goes:

MPC 2000XL & ProTools 10. For some reason my drums record in off beat regardless of which is used as the master or the slave. When I play the beat w/o quantize right from the MP it sounds perfect. Once I sync up to track in the beat is off. Not sure if it's a PT problem or a MP problem- didn't have this issue in PT 8. I'm using a Digi002 as my interface and have the latest OS for the MP and PT 10. Has anyone dealt with this? Open to all suggestions and Thanks in advance...

Just a couple questions, is the tempo on both the mpc and pro tools matching? You might even want to go in pro tools and set your buffer lower. (might work might not, Ive heard its the best thing to do when recording audio because of the slow proccessing less mistakes.) Just a suggestion. Check your sync window on your mpc and in pro tools to make sure that the timing isnt off on either of them.

Appreciate the feedback. Everything is set the way it is supposed to be based what I've done in the past and with a couple of the links I've found here regarding linking PT and the MPC. I'll look over what you suggested and I'm also getting new firewire & midi cords today.

Provide detail on what the settings actually are, and someone might be able to spot what, if anything, is wrong.
