mixers and drums question!

i have a mpc 2000xl without an FX board. when i make sampled beats i sample from vinyl for drumbreaks. the turn table i have is a numark ttusb with a shure m44g cartidge. the problem is that i can never get my kicks to hit hard. i want to sample all my drums from vinyl while getting the best sound before mixing in the computer at all. i want to be able to load a beat on my mpc and it sound good.

i am planning to eventually have a better turntable, a turntable mixer and mixing board. would a turntable mixer or analog mixing board help me here? also any tips on getting good sounding kicks before i track to the computer?

Mixer will give you the power to EQ whatever comes in to the mpc

So you can add some low end for example to your kicks to get them phatter



i recently purchased that one. it has a 3 band EQ and also 7 band stereo graphic EQ. giving me the chance to shape the sound alot. theres alot of mixers to choose from. i recommend that you figure out what you want to do exatcly first and then choose one that suits you.

if you just need a mixer mainly to go between your decks (or any other sample source) and sampler, get an ecler nuo of some type. you dont need a lot of channels just to sample
ive rocked mine hard for 10 years and it still works like the day it was new
cant think of anything ive bought new in this century i can say that about, though my 2nd sl1200 was doing good last time i seen it
