wanna transfer and track my beat out from my mpc 2000xl into

I have a mpc 2000xl that i wanna record my beats onto Reason 7 but i don't know how quite frankly! I've viewed quite a few vidos but they seem so dangg confusing! i don't have the 8 outputs, i have the M Audio Uno Midi connector and balance! any advice would be greatly appreciated! wanna track out and record my beats from the MpC 2000 xl into reason 7 woth what i have!

No 8 out means that you will have to record each track separately from your mpc into you daw.

And i do that HOW???I guess that was the purpose of my post to not ont to get the WHAT TO DO but the HOW TO DO IT ALSO!! If u can help i appreciates it THANKS IN ADVANCED

Connect the AUDIO output of MPC to the AUDIO INPUT of your computer. Play back your beat on the MPC and record the audio coming out of the MPC into your computer.

Make sure your midi cables are connected, and your new session has the same tempo as your mpc

...but don't be disapointed if your groove is missing some mojo, once it's dragged together in reason.....

it's a pain in the......if you can't get your tracks out separated in one rush....

record kik and snare first...hard l/r panned, so at least these edges are fixed to each other....

record your mpc click and drop one seq with only that click first, before every take....
so you can toggle your tracks manually on the reason grid later without getting nuts....

don't know anybody with single outs on his mpc and an interface with 8 inputs...?

Appreciate the info guys! I'm actually opting out , and grabbing the 4000, found one for almost nothing! So my 2000xl is up for grabs for 475$

The cd disk isn't gonna save me the trouble ? I had intentions of saving the beat to a cd then loading into my daw!! Or its not as simple as I've thought???

Its a thin line between love and hate for me! the workflow of the MPC is priceless, i guess my issue is the added hardware that's needed to actually get the beat as a whole into a program for me to rap over it! that's my o.ly issue!

Don't confuse the boy, you don't need midi at all to just record audio

Of course, you dont NEED midi cables, but it would be better for tracking purposes. If you decided to JUST record the beat into reason track by track your beat would be off. The hats would be at a different tempo than the snares and so on. Thats why you should use midi cable to keep everything in sync. MPC tempo of 85= Reason 7 tempo of 85. Connected with midi cables to keep things on time.
